Scholarships

Through the generosity of Tyndale donors and the Seminary itself, Tyndale Theological Seminary is able to offer a number of endowed scholarships.  Competition for these awards is highly selective.  The number of awards is very limited and varies each year.  Any Tyndale Theological Seminary student who meets the qualifications* can apply for scholarship:

The President's Scholarship - Specifically designated for those demonstrating extraordinary commitment and aptitude in Biblical Studies.  Amount of this award varies based upon the discretion of the President.

The John Cook Languages Scholarship - Specifically designated for students in their 2nd year and beyond who demonstrate extraordinary commitment and aptitude in Biblical Languages.  Awarded on an annual basis, award consists of $1,000 toward tuition cost and a $100 textbook stipend.

The S. Lewis Johnson Advanced Greek Scholarship - Specifically designated for students in their 3rd year and beyond who demonstrate extraordinary commitment and aptitude in Greek Studies.  Awarded on an annual basis, award consists of $1,000 toward tuition cost and a $100 textbook stipend.

The Belvill Service & Ministry Scholarship - Specifically designated for those demonstrating extraordinary commitment and aptitude in Service & Ministry, by virtue of active engagement in Service & Ministry within the church (including but not limited to the Pastoral role) or via Christian Education.  Award is 50% of tutition cost per term awarded.

The Walvoord Scholarship - established to commemorate the years of faithful service of Dr. John Walvoord.  Specifically designated for students in their 2nd year and beyond who demonstrate extraordinary commitment and aptitude in Prophetic Studies.  Awarded on an annual basis, the award consists of $1,000 toward tuition cost and a $100 textbook stipend.

The Homeschool Graduate Scholarship – established to support homeschoolers  and their families. All homeschool graduates entering the undergraduate program  are eligible. Award is 50% of tuition cost per term awarded.

Spouse Rate - Spouses of enrolled students may take courses for half the tuition rate. Other fees and costs will also apply with certain regulations.

*Qualifications include (in addition to individual scholarship requriements):

1. Applying student must maintain 27 hours of attendance per year.
2. Applying student must maintain a 3.5 GPA for all enrolled courses unless otherwise stipulated by the terms of the scholarship.

Failure to adhere to these qualifications during scholarship award period will result in revocation of unapplied scholarship awards.
