Effective March 1, after serving seven years as Registrar and an additional two years as Vice President of Tyndale, Dr. John Cook announced his early retirement as Vice President of Tyndale.
While he will no longer function in an administrative role, he will continue to serve on the faculty as a Professor of Bible and Theology and will be heavily involved in course development. Dr. Cook said regarding the move, “I will be returning to a teaching role which I have sorely missed - as Vice President, I accomplished what I was charged to do, and now I have the opportunity once again to do what I love."
Christopher Cone says that Tyndale is very grateful for Dr. Cook’s service: “In many ways, throughout the past nine years, our dear brother John has been the backbone of Tyndale. God has used him in a mighty way to keep the Seminary moving forward, and he continues to be a great encouragement to me personally. While I am extremely thankful for all that he has done for Tyndale in the past, I am equally thankful that we can continue to work and fellowship with him – he is a great blessing not only to our staff and faculty, but also to our students.”
Although the Vice President post will remain vacant for the time being, Dr. Cone voiced confidence that Tyndale has several qualified men who could step into that role if needed.
